Friday a few of us had the day off so we decided to venture to the other side of the island, which isn’t far but due to the shite roads here it takes almost 3 hours! Turns out the whole thing was a fail,… i was driving (that wasn’t the fail part, although there were a few squeals as i apparently have shit spacial awarness on that side of the road.) But half way there (in the middle of the mountains) the inside of the car literally started smoking, luckily there was nothing near us except A GARAGE and a restaurant only 200km up the road, so we had to stay in this little mountain village for 5 hours. My flatmates car had the wrong oil container or something on it which had exploded as we were driving, pouring oil on the road and almost setting the car on fire! We set up our own little beach in the car park (much to the amusement of the locals driving by!) and it turned out just to be the funniest day… mainly because of how ridiculous the whole thing was!!! It might not have been so funny if we werent with my french flatmate but thankfully we were!
